Navendu Mishra MP appointed as Shadow Deputy Prime Minister Angela Rayner’s Parliamentary Private Secretary

I am delighted to be joining Shadow Deputy Prime Minister Angela Rayner’s Shadow Ministerial Team as her Parliamentary Private Secretary. Angela Rayner MP, who hails from Stockport and was previously Branch Secretary of Stockport Metropolitan Borough Council’s UNISON branch, was appointed Shadow Deputy Prime Minister in April last year. Since then, in a recent reshuffle, she has additionally been appointed as Shadow Secretary of State for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities. I am confident that she will carry out both roles with the utmost skill and dedication.

With a Stopfordian in the role of Shadow Deputy Prime Minister and as the Member of Parliament for Stockport, we will make sure our town is well represented in government. I look forward to working with the team, and the rest of the front bench, as we prepare for the next election and have a government that finally delivers for our communities.
